The evil that men do lives on
And so will that of Mitch McCon—
Because he saw no proper way
To gain his goals through honest play
He chose to cheat, and in his fraud
Cheated humanity and God.
Yet, reveling in opprobrium,
Supporters followed, numb or dumb,
Not knowing or not caring that
It was on truth that such deeds shat.
A government that strove to be
A virtuous democracy
(At least in its ideal form)
He sundered from tradition’s norm,
Subverting branches once distinct
And linking what should not be linked.
In time the government fell down,
Demise being traced to Mitch McCon.
