Chief Dullard McConnell

4/23/2017

How shall we know what right or wrong is,
To what authority appeal?
The high court’s valor not so strong is,
Since savage interest made the deal—

The deal to get a judge by cheating,
A swindle henceforth to revoke
Propriety, in the mistreating,
To render justice like a joke.

One must appeal, then, to no court;
Trust not in verdicts issued there
While an Imposter takes for sport
Lives that demand a judgement fair.

Toward inner conscience, let a man
Lean with no expectation from
The law (unraveling for a span),
With jurisprudence rendered numb.

Save Gorsuch fairly be ejected,
The high court’s life may well be done,
Murdered by dullards who protected
Petty concerns and falsehoods spun,

So as to justify the fraud
Whereby due process was aborted:
Picayune victory they applaud,
While truth itself has been contorted.

A new poem is always news to the poet.
    Or whatever.
