Mitch sought to show le grand publique
That he was strong, Obama weak,
Obstructionist at every turn
To block the president and spurn
His every effort of concern.
Instead of his function legislative,
Mitch sought in ways extreme creative
To stop, disrupt and sabotage
The government—thereby to dodge
The voters‘ will, and “hope” dislodge.
Each effort until the subversion
Of the high court, was to cast aspersion
Upon the will to govern well,
Though honesty and fairness fell,
On truth resounding a death knell...
Mitch felt it was a great affront
And worthy any trick, or stunt,
Because the president was black—
So marshalled every party hack
To ceaselessly thwart and attack.
In consequence, to get that prize
He had to delegitimize
The high court, with a flunky in
Appointed by the righter skin,
To serve as judicial harlequin.
