Mitch and his Henchmen

“If you don’t vote the way I want
    Then I will wreck the place,”
So Mitch McConnell made his taunt
    Delivering disgrace.

The voting did not favor him,
    So in the aftermath
His band of thugs, all to his whim
    Gave Justice a bloodbath.

“We have to keep the status quo,”
    McConnell told his crew,
“Lest someone stem Dark Money’s flow
    That goes to you and you.”

The “stolen seat” went to the highest
    Bidder if truth be told,
So now the Court sits highly biased,
    A wolf within its fold.

Or rather Gorsuch, shucky duck,
    That silver fox and sly,
However since the deal was struck
    The world has seen the lie.

America no longer stands
    For any cherished thing,
Except such words marauding bands
    To deeds of plunder bring.

McConnell made this possible,
    For, “Fortune favors wealth”
Is an old adage he knows well,
    Especially helped by stealth.

The light of truth no longer shines
    On deeds as dark as pitch,
“So do not sue for anodynes,”
    Now chortles shady Mitch.
