With credibility destroyed
How shall a court be trusted?
Fairness was banished to the void,
Right truth by bias busted.
A hack promoted to the bench
Because an ideologue
(By means that must give truth to blench)
Serves honesty to flog.
How shall men sue for justice? Whom
Beseech to get a hearing?
With such a quisling in the room
(Gorsuch) much calls for fearing.
No longer let men seek redress
Through justice from the law,
Because the court accounts for less
As through a coup d’etat.
Fairness was sundered, and belief,
By a judicial coup,
Sufficient to bring unto grief
A land wherein hope grew.
Save the whole structure now be rent
And builded up again,
How shall truth live, that has been spent,
Robbed of the citizen?
With a foundation built on rot
A building has to fall,
But new men rise, and bear new thought,
To walk in virtue tall.
The old effects of privilege
Deserve to fall and fail,
But such as do to justice pledge
May see new hopes prevail.
