Neil Gorsuch sits upon the Court
By virtue of two cheats,
Not merely one, fair play amort
As justice self-defeats.
The rightful candidate denied
Fair hearing, was the first;
Second, procedure modified
That theft might be traversed.
Ergo, with Gorsuch on the bench
When the High Court convenes,
All dignity and trust retrench,
As farce commands the scenes.
What verdict, handed down from such
A body compromised
Bears scrutinizing overmuch,
Precedent to be prized?
Mere anarchy is loosed henceforth
Usurping caution wise
When honesty—deemed little worth—
Fails to legitimize.
